I haven’t written in a long time, and this is largely due to the fact that I’ve been busy with finals and lining up an internship for the summer.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused my five subscribers, but I can promise you that my hard work has paid off.

This past spring semester was jam-packed with school, work, an internship, and attempting to be there for my friends as often as I could. Despite everything that I had going on, I managed to make it through the entire semester without skipping class, nor did I make anything less than a B on my finals.

I didn’t end up getting the internship with Warner Music Group, however, I did land one with Do214. Do214 is a Dallas-based publication that lists events going on in Dallas, similar to TimeOut. I am very excited to be a part of Dallas’s rising art and nightlife scene.

I will also be writing blog entries for a Denver-based EDM radio station called Mix247. I submitted my first entry today, and it can be read here.

Aside from work and school, I will be helping my friend Kali with producing and promoting her EP, which is set to be released later this summer.

I’ve also recently discovered a knack for cooking. On Sunday, my best friend came to Dallas to visit and I cooked him and his family a hearty Italian feast. Seeing people genuinely enjoy food that you spent hours to prepare is one of the most rewarding feelings.

Overall, I am very content with the way things worked out. I may not have gotten a 4.0 GPA, and it may be taking me a little bit longer than four years to complete my degree, but I know that I am more than capable of excelling in my studies.

I am looking forward to beginning my internship at Do214 for this week, and throughout the course of the summer, I will be sharing updates on how it all goes. I also hope to provide updates on various travels and adventures.

Here’s to a fun, productive and adventurous summer of 2016.
