This fall sees a lot of promising local artists releasing new material, as well as embarking on tours. Below are some of the artists you can expect to hear from in the coming weeks.


Nick Fabian

This 22-year-old Plano native can be found travelling back and forth from his Nashville home to his Texas hometown almost any given weekend. Nick Fabian’s sound is influenced by both Dallas and Nashville surroundings, with lyrics that create a familiar, intimate environment at any of his performances. Fabian’s vocals are similar to those of Ryan Tedder and John Mayer. He is set to digitally release his album Stuck in my Head on September 30th.


King Dan

With a new mixtape, Grind or Die, streaming now, Davion Harris, better known as “King Dan” is taking over the local rap scene. With an aggressive flow and piercing lyricism, Dan is Dallas’s hip-hop savior. Dan has an EP and a mixtape currently streaming on Soundcloud, and has also recently released a tribute track to rapper Lil Wayne.


Thieves of Sunrise

Currently on a nationwide tour, Thieves of Sunrise is a band whose music contains rock, soul and country influences. Thieves of Sunrise is lead by singer Matthew Marcus McDaniel, whose vocals create a nostalgic feel, like those of Steven Tyler and Bon Jovi. Despite being on tour for the rest of the year, you can catch Thieves of Sunrise on their two Texas stops in October. Plus, you can stream their music on any service.

According to his Soundcloud page, electronic producer Metaphysic dreams of being someone who “alters the way of consciousness through sound”. Metaphysic’s catalog consists of instrumentals with ambient, trap, and hip-hop influences. He has a sound for nearly every type of mood or occasion and is fit to be a promising producer for aspiring Dallas vocalists.

Jeremy Chi

Having transplanted from Chicago to Dallas, Jeremy Chi is ready to put on for his city while putting Dallas’s music scene on the map. Chi’s style is consists of soft-spoken raspy vocals like Kendrick Lamar with a bold, aggressive flow like Pusha T. Chi is set to perform at The Arthouse Art Gallery & Urban Hangout on September 17th, and will be releasing a new single on the 30th.
